Hey - who changed the price?? If i knew it was worth that much I’d never have opened it. Shit.
I did! Shit man, I hope you enjoyed it. Sometimes we exaggerate the prices a little at the Chateau, but I’d say that based on a couple of online searches (www.winesearcher.com) 1,300 is a fair price for a magnum of ‘85 Lafite. Needless to say, it’s a killer bottle of wine.
Just out of curiosity, what did you drink it with?
Cheers,
Ben
Friends!
Actually it was “Pigeon en Papaillotte”.
You lucky bastard!
I opened a bottle of this vintage last night in a double magnum. I’m curious as to what it may have fetched at market. Lovely from what little I tasted. I’d appreciate a ballpark $ Love the site.
