This wine was a sample from the producer.
Funny thing is: I have dozens of other samples in storage, but for whatever reason as soon this bottle arrived I popped it into the fridge, twisted off the top, and took a sip! This sets the record for the fastest turn-around yet! Thanks Thumbprint Cellars ~
Cheers,
Ben
We tasted this wine today with Kent Humphrey, the owner and winemaker of Eric Kent Wines. This wine rocks! (If I’m permitted to write that.) Needless to say, he’s doing some really cool stuff not only in the bottle, but on the outside as well. Here’s the front label of the 2006 Russian River Chardonnay, designed by Scot Kemp:
Naturally, we dig Eric Kent’s use of art. The labels change every vintage, giving Eric Kent Wines the ability to choose and highlight different works of art by undiscovered, yet highly talented artists. Their support for the arts is definitely in line with the tenets of Chateau Petrogasm!
